I have practiced psychotherapy since 1993, specializing in children, adolescents, and families.  My experience includes 12 years working as therapist and program supervisor with various child protection agencies (i.e. a group homes, day-treatment educational programs, and  intensive residential treatment).  In 2006, I transitioned into private practice, working with individuals, couples, and families, continuing my work with high-risk youth.  I assess my clients from a family systems approach and develop treatment planning specific to the goals set by each client.  While gaining insight necessary for change, clients learn adaptive tools and strategies applicable to daily life.  I am an advocate for my clients and will work in conjunction with other professionals involved in their treatment planning (i.e. school systems, mediators, psychiatrists).

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of North Dakota and my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado - Denver (focusing on marriage and family therapy).  I continue to receive ongoing continuing education in the field of psychotherapy in order to provide the most up-to-date diagnosis specific intervention.
